United Nations human rights experts called on Washington to ensure that those responsible for the violations suffered by the notorious "Guantanamo" detainees be punished, and that the victims be compensated. They also welcomed US President Joe Biden's announcement of his intention to close the detention facility.

Alkarama and a number of Lebanese and international human rights organizations have submitted a petition to the Parliament's Human Rights Committee, to investigate violations against Lebanese protesters arrested in connection with the recent popular demonstrations in Tripoli.

A report issued by the Security Council Sanctions Committee stated that all parties to the conflict in Yemen continue to commit serious violations of international humanitarian and human rights law, including indiscriminate attacks against civilians, enforced disappearances, and torture.

Two UN human rights experts called on Israel to immediately stop using military security tools to "obstruct the legitimate work of human rights defenders".
