On 11 October 2023, Alkarama submitted its contribution on the human rights situation in Yemen in view of its next Universal Periodic Review (UPR) by the Human Rights Council scheduled between 29 April and 10 May 2024.

The United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights, Mr. Volker Türk, warned of the repercussions of collective punishment imposed by the Israeli occupation authorities against Palestinians in Gaza and the targeting of civilians, stressing that bitter experiences have shown that "vengeance is not the answer, and ultimately innocent civilians pay the price."

On 2 October 2023, Alkarama submitted its alternative report to the Committee against Torture (CAT) in view of Egypt's upcoming review.

On 10 October 2023, on the occasion of the International Day against the Death Penalty, Alkarama and several human rights organisations issued a joint statement denouncing the death sentences handed down following political trials in Egypt.

Alkarama has learned that the Yemeni pilgrim, Abdulrab Mansoor Moqbel Ahmed GEHAM, who forcibly disappeared in Saudi Arabia recently reappeared in Abha prison in southwestern Saudi Arabia. It is only recently that he was allowed to contact his family for the first time since his arrest by Saudi security forces at the Al-Wadia border crossing last April.

Several United Nations (UN) human rights experts have urged Saudi Arabia to immediately revoke the death penalty handed down to Mohammed Al Ghamdi, a retired teacher, for his tweets and activism on YouTube. This was expressed in a statement issued by the Special Rapporteur on extrajudicial, summary or arbitrary executions, the Special Rapporteur on the promotion and protection of the right to freedom of opinion and expression, and the Working Group on Arbitrary Detention.

On 15 September 2023, Alkarama sent an urgent appeal to the United Nations Committee on Enforced Disappearances regarding Syrian citizen arbitrarily detained in Iraq, Azmi Derri Mohamed Al Haddar, to prevent his deportation to Syria where there is a huge risk for him to be subjected to enforced disappearance, torture and even execution.

On 12 September 2023, Alkarama urgently submitted the case of Yemeni citizen Abdulrab Mansoor Moqbel Ahmed GEHAM, who was arrested on 12 April 2023 by Saudi security forces at the Al Wadea border crossing, to the UN Working Group on Enforced Disappearance
