On 24 March 2021, Alkarama sent an urgent appeal to the UN Working Group on Arbitrary Detention (WGAD) in order to obtain the release of Mr. Ahmed Abdallah Mohammed Sambi (63 years old), former Head of State of the Comoros (2006-2011) who is arbitrarily detained.

During its 130th session held between 12 October and 6 November 2020, the United Nations (UN) Human Rights Committee rendered its decision in the case of Achour Berkaoui, who was arrested in El Mouradia (wilaya of Algiers) in 1994 by Security forces and has been missing since.
On 4 June 2015, Alkarama had submitted a complaint to the Human Rights Committee on behalf of Tassadit Berkaoui, for the abduction and disappearance of her brother.

Alia Awad, an Egyptian photographer and journalist, who has been detained in prison for nearly five years, and has been banned from visits for nearly a year, faces imminent risks during her detention due to medical negligence as a result of a uterine tumor and other illnesses that have resulted in a serious deterioration of her health.

The Kuwaiti Ministry of Interior arrested a group of former MPs, activists and academics at an official press conference to show solidarity with the National Assembly MP Badr Al-Dahoum, denouncing the decision of the Constitutional Court to cancel the parliamentary status of the deputy, on the pretext that he insulted the Emir of Kuwait, Sabah Al-Ahmad. The people arrested were later released.

The daughter of Moroccan detainee, Rachid Al-Ghribi Al-Aroussi sentenced to 20 years in prison, of which 17 years and 7 months have passed, appealed to King Mohammed VI, asking him to release her father under an exceptional pardon due to his health condition, according to a letter obtained by Alkarama.

The Office of the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights has expressed its deep concern regarding the deterioration of the human rights situation in Algeria and the continued and increasing repression of members of the peaceful movement calling for democracy and the promotion of freedom.

During the 130th session held between 12 October and 6 November 2020, the United Nations (UN) Human Rights Committee recognized Algeria's responsibility for the enforced disappearance of former National Liberation Army (NLA) officer Sadek Rsiwi, who was arrested in Ghardaïa in 1996 by soldiers and has been missing ever since.
On 7 September 2016, the Human Rights Committee was seized by Alkarama regarding the enforced disappearance of Sadek Rsiwi.

For Mohammed Dafar, the beach of Al Aouana (wilaya of Jijel, a small coastal town east of Algiers) encloses the deep pain inflicted by the loss of his son, Fateh Dafar, summarily executed by the National Gendarmerie.
During its 130th session held in Geneva from 12 October to 6 November 2020, the United Nations Human Rights Committee rendered its decision on the case of Fateh Dafar, in response to the complaint filed on 25 November 2014 by the father, Mohammed Dafar, represented by Alkarama.

Two UN experts expressed their disappointment at the lack of measures and sanctions by the United States of America on the murder of Saudi journalist Jamal Khashoggi at the Saudi Consulate in Istanbul, Turkey, in October 2018, and called for those responsible to impose them sanctions.

United Nations human rights experts called on Washington to ensure that those responsible for the violations suffered by the notorious "Guantanamo" detainees be punished, and that the victims be compensated. They also welcomed US President Joe Biden's announcement of his intention to close the detention facility.
