In February 2015, Hussain Ali Radhi Abdulrasool, a father and driver, was violently arrested by a group of policemen leaving him unconscious and severely injured. Eight months later, he was acquitted of all charges against him, but left paralysed from the waist down, he is unable to work.

On 20 November 2015, Alkarama sent a communication to the United Nations Special Rapporteur on torture and other cruel, inhuman or degrading treatment or punishment (SRT) regarding the case of 21-year-old student Ahmed Sayed Hussain Sharaf Ali Mohamed, who was arrested by members of the Riot Police in October 2014.

On 13 November 2015, Alkarama sent a communication to the United Nations Special Rapporteur on torture and other cruel, inhuman or degrading treatment or punishment (SRT) regarding the case of Radhi Ali Radhi Abdulrasool, employed at the Zein Telecommunication company, arrested by members of the Bahraini police in November 2012.

On 13 November 2015, Alkarama sent a communication to the United Nations Special Rapporteur on torture and other cruel, inhuman or degrading treatment or punishment (SRT) regarding the case of school bus driver Mohamed Hassan Ali Ibrahim Ali. The victim was arrested in September 2013 and taken to the Criminal Investigation Centre of Manama, where he was severely tortured and forced to make confessions. These confessions were later used to justify the charges brought against him.

On 9 February 2015, Alkarama provided the Committee against Torture (CAT) with a list of 64 issues to be raised by the United Nations experts with the Bahraini authorities during their consideration of Bahrain's initial report.

The Bahraini authorities should immediately release Jawad Hussein, human rights defender and Chairman of the European Bahraini Organization for Human Rights, arrested following a smear campaign against him and fellow activists.

On 23 November 2013, Bahraini human rights defender Jawad Hussein went to Central Province Centre to file a complaint against state-sponsored media outlets and NGOs who had launched a defamation campaign against him and several Bahraini human rights activists.

Alkarama regrets Bahrain's decision to postpone the visit of the Special Rapporateur on Torture to the country. The visit was scheduled to take place from 8 to 15 May 2013. A previous visit was scheduled in 2012 and was also put off.
